About this Space

This project was developed for a Switzerland-based client, with a clear vision of creating an industrial loft-style residence. The design scope included multiple zones such as the living room, dining area, guest bedroom, and an office-cum-library space, each required to follow a cohesive and unified design language. In addition to the interior spaces, the project extended to the outdoor area, where landscaping played a key role. Elements such as a pool, water feature, pergola, decking, and outdoor lounge seating were incorporated to enhance the overall living experience. The design intent was to achieve an open, fluid spatial layout while reflecting the raw, sleek, and understated character of industrial loft aesthetics through materiality, finishes, and spatial planning.

Requirements

Loft Helvetia was a rewarding project. It offered full scope of executing industrial loft design style. The client vision moved around sleek metal elements, muted tones and raw textures. It created an open, minimal, and cohesive space. The project went through strategic interventions like demolishing the wall between living and dining, repositioning furniture of the master bedroom, and concealment solutions. The outdoor area was also designed with care and planning. Despite challenges like last-minute client revision, landscaping changes, the project was successfully completed. It created a harmonious environment which suited the evolving client preferences.
